A Lenten Message

Last Supper

Dear Friend of St. Jude,

Thank you for your commitment and loyalty to our Pallottine priests and brothers who conduct St. Jude Shrine. As a cherished member of our Circle of Hope, you strengthen our ministry with your deep faith, compassion and generosity. Please let our priests and brothers pray for you during this holy season.

Last Supper

As a gift of gratitude, our priests and brothers want to repay your faithful friendship in the greatest way we are able. Please allow us to pray for you and for the intentions closest to your heart. We are honored to pray for St. Jude’s powerful intercession in bringing your prayer requests before God. Simply send us your prayer intentions.

Lent is a time of grace, mercy and hope that unites us more fully to Christ. This 40-day personal journey enables us to rediscover our relationship with Christ through prayer, fasting and almsgiving.

Pope Francis reminds us that Lent is a time for reflection… a time to look inside ourselves and do a little heart-and soul-searching. He says it’s also a time to look outward beyond ourselves to others who suffer injustice, poverty and oppression… and to open our hearts and make sacrifices for those in need.

I humbly ask you to open your heart today to bring the love of Christ into the lives of others during this holy season. Please consider a Lenten offering of $15, $25, $35 or even $50 for our ministries in 54 countries around the world. No matter how much you give, please know that your gift will help us serve people who cry out in pain, heartache and despair – people who think they’ve been forgotten and abandoned.

Your compassion and generosity will help provide tangible relief aid that saves children from starvation and nourishes families with food… brings clean water to places where there is none…offers shelter for refugees in dire need…supplies medical care to comfort the sick… and so much more.

During this holy season, please know that our priests and brothers continue to pray for you during these difficult times. We will remember your requests in our prayers, Novenas and Masses.

As we journey together toward Easter and the most joyful event of Christ’s resurrection, let us cherish our Lenten walk with Christ through our personal reflection, sacrifices and almsgiving. Please let your Lenten walk be one of opening your heart to others in their time of need.

May this Lent be filled with healing, peace and hope through the intercession of St. Jude and our Lord Jesus Christ.

In Christ, our Crucified and Risen Lord,

Fr. Peter Sticco, S.A.C.
Novena Director

P.S. Your Lenten gift today helps support all of our ministries, particularly our St. Jude Shrine and the poor we serve around the world. Please be as generous as possible and be sure to send your prayer requests so they can be remembered in the prayers, Novenas and Masses at our Shrine and on the tomb of St. Jude in the Vatican.
