Christ has Risen!

Jesus at Easter

Dear Friend of St. Jude,

Father Peter Sticco, S.A.C. Novena Director

Jesus is no longer here. “Christ has risen!” These words of triumph greeted the women on that first Easter morning, and they greet us today, bringing hope, love and joy. Let’s celebrate with cheerful certainty the Good News of the Resurrection.

On behalf of our Pallottine priests and brothers: Happy Easter! I want you to know of the life and hope you bring to so many – the Easter message you share – through your generous support of St. Jude Shrine.

Jesus’ resurrection is at the very center of all our beliefs. The reality of His resurrection shows us that God’s power triumphs over death and gives us hope in a new and everlasting life.

Our Pallottine priests and brothers serve as missionaries of hope around the globe. Through the intercession of St. Jude, patron saint of hopeless causes, we work day and night as your “hearts and hands” to bring hope to the destitute, the impoverished and the desperate. Thanks to your continuing support, we serve Christ in the poor through our ministries of hope here at home and in every corner of the world.

Christ is Risen Close-upAt our St. Jude Shrine in Baltimore, we offer novenas asking St. Jude to intervene for the many who feel hopeless and turn to St. Jude. Daily, we receive phone calls and mail from friends who feel despair or face a difficult challenge.

Roy and Janie wrote to us: “Our son was in a terrible accident and had a severe traumatic brain injury, which left him in a coma and in critical condition. He was in the hospital for 47 days. Following our Novena to St. Jude, our son immediately started to recover quickly and is now back at work. We are so grateful to St. Jude and highly recommend praying to St. Jude for anyone going through difficult times.”

I also encourage you to experience St. Jude’s miraculous powers of intercession by calling on him in your time of need.

I prayerfully ask you to open your heart to help us reach out to the poor through our ministries of hope. Your offering will help provide tangible relief to the poor, including food, shelter, medicine and clean water… along with the love and hope of Jesus Christ.

Your gift will also help families in our own neighborhoods who need the basic necessities of food, heat, and clothing…and those who suffer spiritually, including someone you may know personally.

When you send your gift, please be sure to include your prayer requests. Our priests and brothers will place your intentions in the hands of St. Jude and make sure they are remembered at Mass and in prayer.

Pope Francis tells us that Jesus’ Resurrection is the heart, the core, of our faith and our hope in eternal life. He invites us to let the hope of the Risen Christ open our lives to God… and be our courage and our strength..

May the Risen Lord be your strength and your hope of a new and everlasting life.

 In Christ our Risen Lord,

Fr. Peter Sticco, S.A.C.
Novena Director

P.S. Your gift today helps support all of our ministries, particularly our St. Jude Shrine and the poor we serve around the world. Please be as generous as possible and be sure to send your prayer requests so they can be remembered in the prayers and novenas at our Shrine and on the tomb of St. Jude in the Vatican.
